Benefits

So what can pregnancy massage help with exactly?

  • Improving circulation

  • Easing lower back pain or sciatica

  • Reducing swelling in the lower extremities

  • Easing shoulder and neck tension

  • Improving the lymphatic system

  • Calming anxiety

Pregnancy massage at Integrated Body Therapies aims to help with both physical and emotional changes that are continuously occurring in this amazing process. You will be comfortably positioned side-lying or seated and we use oils that are unscented should you have any olfactory sensitivity at this time. In spite of what you may have heard in the past, massage is safe at all stages of pregnancy,  however some people prefer to wait until after 12 weeks to treat just for mutual peace of mind. We also recognise that there are many myths and long held beliefs about what you should or should not do during pregnancy, but rest assured, we are up to date on the biological facts and look to support you as an individual. If you have questions, do ask!
